Chad Biggar
This man is magic. He can read magazines backwards (even the articles!) He can grow a fake moustache. And he can make his students at Goodwin Elementary want to write novels when all we’re asking for is a story on a page. See? Magic.
We met this News 2 production tech when he was doing some research for one of his friend’s non profits, Love in Stereo. He found the SideWalk website, and was blown away with the mission, the style, the panache of these Charleston based do-gooders, and thought joining up was something that would make his life infinitely better.
Oh boy has it ever!
We asked him his favorite part of working with SideWalk Chalk: “Hearing the kids say they have so much to their stories that they want to write. They have these amazing ideas they want to put on paper and are eager to do it. The stories themselves always surprise me and usually make me howl with laughter. The students, volunteers and even the teachers are so excited and involved with the program and want only the best.”
Chad, you’ve made our lives infinitely better, too. And the lives of the students you work with every week. Thanks for being a Chalker.
